And it&#8217;s just what the Kokomo Police Department wants residents to do by using <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/ml\/app\/kokomo-pd\/id1633117888\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its new app, Kokomo PD<\/a>-although in this case, it&#8217;s perhaps more apt to say, &#8220;if you see something, click something.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This free app allows users to <a href=\"https:\/\/lawyersreadytofight.com\/2022\/06\/06\/a-parents-dilemma-should-you-report-your-childs-crime\/\">report a crime<\/a> in progress, a photo, a video, a tip, or any other information. Officers can respond in real-time to gather details. Tipsters remain anonymous throughout the process, and KPD Major Brian Seldon promises that the department &#8220;&#8230;will follow up on every tip we receive through the app.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Howard_County_Sheriffs_Office\"><\/span><strong>Howard County Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Captain Jordan Buckley of the Howard County Sheriff&#8217;s Office (HCSO) says that <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/howard-county-sheriffs-office\/id1627321300\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">their eponymous app<\/a> is like a &#8220;one-stop shop&#8221; for submitting anonymous tips, looking up information about the county <a href=\"https:\/\/lawyersreadytofight.com\/2021\/12\/20\/are-you-more-likely-to-end-up-in-jail-if-one-of-your-parents-gets-arrested\/\">jail and its inmates<\/a>, and staying abreast of sex offenders&#8217; locations.<\/p>\n<p>Buckley also emphasizes the app&#8217;s round-the-clock service, which gives residents more options for communicating with law enforcement and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>Like the Kokomo PD app, the HCSO app is free to download and allows users to connect with the sheriff&#8217;s department with full anonymity.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Addressing_the_Pitfalls_of_Police_Apps\"><\/span><strong>Addressing the Pitfalls of Police Apps<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Technology is ever-evolving, and while using apps to access law enforcement agencies will undoubtedly prove to be a boon, there are also some potential pitfalls.
