The Sixth Amendment of the Constitution, it states that in all criminal prosecutions, the accused will enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury. But what does that really mean?<\/p>\n

Most people think a fast and speedy trial means entitled to a short trial. It actually refers to the defendant\u2019s right to be brought to trial within a reasonably short time after the arrest.<\/p>\n
